How to report a bug

The fastest way is from inside the app:

Help menu → Report a Bug…

This opens a new email in your mail app, addressed to support, with the app version and your macOS version already filled in. Just describe what happened and what you expected.

Nothing is sent until you press Send. The email contains no file names or file contents.

Common questions

Where do my files go when I add them to a tile?

Each tile is a real folder, inside the folder you chose when you set up DeskTiles Mini. Files you drop onto a tile are moved into that folder, not copied. So a file that lives in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or a shared folder would leave that folder and stop syncing. For anything that has to stay where it is, don't drop the original.

What happens to my files if I delete DeskTiles Mini?

Your tiles are ordinary folders inside the folder you chose during setup. Deleting the app does not delete that folder or the files in it.

How do I put a tile on my desktop?

Add a DeskTiles Mini widget from the widget gallery (right-click the desktop and choose Edit Widgets) and choose which tile it shows. There is a Tile widget (small, medium or large) and an All Tiles widget (medium or large). If a new widget says "Choose a tile", click the tile name on it and pick one.

The widget does not show my tile. What can I try?

Click the tile name on the widget and choose the tile again. If it still does not show, open DeskTiles Mini once, then check System Settings → Privacy & Security → Files & Folders and, if DeskTiles Mini is listed there, make sure it is switched on. If none of that helps, write to us and we will look into it.

Which macOS versions does DeskTiles Mini support?

DeskTiles Mini requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later. It also runs on macOS 26 Tahoe and macOS 27 Golden Gate.

How do I request a refund?

DeskTiles Mini is sold through the Mac App Store. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
